Energy and Fire Code Compliance

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) is sponsoring two live webinars on the topics of energy and fire code compliance.  The webinars will complement each other and we highly recommend that you participate in both webinars.  The cost of each webinar is $125.00 each and in addition to the webinar will include one copy of the guide referenced in each session.

Energy Code Compliance for Metal Building Systems

  • October 6, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Eastern
  • October 17, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Eastern

This live webinar will explain energy code compliance for the metal building systems, using the new “Energy Design Guide for Metal Building Systems” as reference material.  The guide is included with the registration fee, and is the most comprehensive resource on energy code compliance available for metal building systems.  You will learn in the 1 ½ hour session valuable information about the upcoming International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and ASHRAE 90.1 requirements you will be responsible to meet.  This webinar was created specifically for metal building contractors.

Fire Code Compliance for Metal Building Systems

  • November 10, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Eastern
  • November 29, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Eastern

This live webinar will walk through the International Building Code (IBC) requirements for fire rated construction, focusing on specific details for fire rated metal building systems and clearly explaining the complicated code provisions you face on a daily basis. MBMA’s UL rated assemblies – the tools needed to succeed – will be reviewed in detail.  In addition, the registration attendees will receive the new MBMA “Fire Resistance Design Guide for Metal Building Systems”.  This guide was written by the industry insiders and is specific for metal building systems.  Fire resistance requirements continue to get more complicated with each new addition of the code – don’t let a lack of information slow down or halt your projects.  In this webinar you will learn about the new materials that are being required for energy code compliance, such as foam plastics and higher levels of insulation, and how they can impact the fire resistance requirements of metal buildings.  You will come away with a better understanding of what the codes require, and how to meet the requirements with metal building systems.

The two times that are presently available are October 6, 2011 and October 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM eastern time.

The Recovery Growth Team

Economic recoveries are all different, but they have one thing in common: They seldom feel good. For those of us who have been through economic downturns before, the present one has no doubt been the most severe that any of us have experienced. After a recessionary phase, expansion generally moves in spurts, with positive bursts following positive news, then economic withdrawal after disappointing news.

Although we cannot predict the future, history has shown that stages of the economic cycle are marked by clear characteristics. Several signs now seem to indicate that the U.S. economy is in the early stages of economic recovery, even though the recovery is extremely fragile.

Inland Building Systems is positioning itself to be ready for the growth that will take place during the recovery period and beyond. Rather than sitting back and waiting to see what will happen next, Inland Building Systems is being pro-active in opening a new engineering office that will allow for expanded design and detailing capabilities, both in volume and in the level of project complexity. This is in addition to the veteran group of engineers and detailers already on the Inland Building Systems’ staff. Inland has also expanded its estimating resources. We believe that these expanded resources will put Inland Building Systems in front of the metal building industry by being ready aid in the planning of new projects, and to accept the orders and shipping the Inland buildings in a more timely manner than our competition.

Inland Building Systems has a very experienced corps of district managers and sales service managers, all of whom help to bring back the service / relationship aspect necessary working on metal building projects and making them successful

On your next metal building project, if you are not presently associated with Inland Building Systems, give us a try and be a part of the Recovery Growth Team. We are confident that we will make your next metal building project more successful. Contact us at sales@inlandbuildings.com and we will have the Inland Building Systems’ district manager contact you, or use the convenient District Manager Locator Map on the web site.
