The Recovery Growth Team
Economic recoveries are all different, but they have one thing in common: They seldom feel good. For those of us who have been through economic downturns before, the present one has no doubt been the most severe that any of us have experienced. After a recessionary phase, expansion generally moves in spurts, with positive bursts following positive news, then economic withdrawal after disappointing news.
Although we cannot predict the future, history has shown that stages of the economic cycle are marked by clear characteristics. Several signs now seem to indicate that the U.S. economy is in the early stages of economic recovery, even though the recovery is extremely fragile.
Inland Building Systems is positioning itself to be ready for the growth that will take place during the recovery period and beyond. Rather than sitting back and waiting to see what will happen next, Inland Building Systems is being pro-active in opening a new engineering office that will allow for expanded design and detailing capabilities, both in volume and in the level of project complexity. Schulte Building Systems today announced that it has purchased the name and assets of Inland Building Systems (IBS). IBS is headquartered and operates a single manufacturing facility in Cullman, Alabama. This facility is 137,000 square-foot (12,727-m²) and produces a full line of metal building products. They currently employ approximately 89 employees.
